Be a Volunteer
The success of the Darien Soccer Association is due in large part to the tireless efforts of our volunteers. These volunteers include our Parent managers, Parent Coaches and the DSA Board of Directors. The DSA has grown and we cannot manage such a large and thriving program without your help!

The Darien Soccer Association is currently seeking members who have a desire to serve on the DSA Board of Directors. Board positions are generally a two to three year commitment. Most positions are done at home on own hours. All members who have an interest in one of the following positions are encouraged to contact Rachel Donovan

Applicants will be reviewed by the Board and then invited to meet with a Committee to discuss roles and responsibilities of serving. In addition to descriptions below, Board Members participate in several Board meetings throughout the year.

Openings/New Positions:

House (formerly K-2) Commissioner: This position will work closely with the Admin and Scheduler to make sure the Kindergarten through 2nd Grade program is set up and organized prior to the season’s start. The K-2 Commissioner will work with existing grades K, 1 & 2 level commissioners to organize teams and player assignments for each season. K-2 Commissioner will also be responsible for all program communications to players and will work closely with our professional coaches to communicate curriculum.

CO-Field Assigner: The Field Assignor is responsible for ensuring that all Travel teams with games in Darien are assigned a field. Fields are assigned for the regular travel season, as well as for the CT Cup games and scrimmages. This volunteer will be responsible for ensuring that all home travel and CT Cup games are scheduled and assigned a field in accordance with CJSA, SWD and CT Cup policies. The role involves initial field assigning as the season starts and ongoing re-organizing of fields, usually due to weather-related field closures.

Club Excel Commissioner: We are seeking 1 or 2 dedicated Club Excel Commissioners to manage the program. The CE Commissioner will work alongside CE Parent Coaches to organize game schedules and be responsible for communications.
